I was introduced to this band by a friend, I think these guys are amazing (in the way use their equipment) I’m sure that they are incredible musicians to. I’m talking about the Battles.  I wanted to share this with you guys.  Upsetting that I could have seen them as Glastonbury and didn’t.

 

I saw a copy of this afew years ago, Buddy Rich vs Animal of the Muppets!

This gig was a sit-in one off gig, I did it with a friend, you can see him singing, was a fun gig!  Shame I didn’t any other songs, the first song that is a favourite.  The club was very dark,  I guess the lighting person is answerable for that.

I’ve been fortunate to see Jojo play here in London, He played a very small clinic at the Wembley Drum Center. This was way before this performance.  My key memory from that performance was him playing some crazy rhythm and using his left foot, he was changing the tone of the bass drum by applying pressure to the drum head,  truly something that needs to be seen and heard to be believed.

I really love this, I’m feeling very jealous that these guys are only in secondary school, yet there drumming ability is so high!! I wish that schools and colleages in the UK put so much empasisis on drums and purcussion as they do in the US.  Enjoy!!

I was blown away but this, he does play drums, in an open-handed style, very aspirering!
